Waxing Poetic Personal Vocabulary Review

waxing-poetic-personal-vocabulary-coverFrom the recent Waxing Poetic Spring 2015 Collection, I was immediately drawn to their new line of charms called Personal Vocabulary.  This brand is known for their boho chic aesthetic and accent dangles.  Most of their charms are two-tone and made with sterling silver with brass accents.  I was delighted to get a number of pieces from this collection recently including Fortune Cookie, Bling Love, Bell Love, Owl Love, Puppy Love, Music Love, and Rocking Horse Love.

The common thread in these designs is that they feature all feature a heart somewhere on the dangle.  The themes for Personal Vocabulary are interest-based and focus on hobbies like sports, music, and libations, plus major life events like marriage, babies, and pets too.  There’s so many to choose from, it was hard to pick a few so I concentrated on my interests and significant moments.

Bling Love is a shorter dangle compared to the others and Bell Love both represent getting married to my sweetheart.  Puppy Love features a bone with a circle of love that is not fixed and can move up and down which makes this my favorite from the set.  The Rocking Horse Love is symbolic for my latest major event – having a baby, and it’s a larger charm from this collection.  I also choose Music Love because music has always been a passion of mine.  Owl Love and Fortune Cookie are so wonderfully detailed and cute that I just couldn’t resist them.

Waxing Poetic has large universal bails which can be used with all bracelet types including Pandora.  They add a wonderful accent to any European charm bracelet or can be worn on their own dedicated chains from this brand.  This collection can be purchased from their official website, Goldmine Jewelry Shoppe, and Perlen.  Do you have a favorite from this set?

Beautiful charms! I am thinking of getting the bracelet and a couple of charms for my mom on Mother’s Day. I noticed they have clips on their website. Do I need to purchase a clip for each charm or do they slide on? Thanks!

    • Leann

They slide on, the clips are for some of their bracelets and necklaces.

I have a fairly large collection of this brand going on now. I love them so much. I wish I could have each and every one. I started a bracelet with all initials of each one of my kids, grandkids, myself and DH. It is so pretty. You do need the clips if you are going to buy a bead bracelet.
