Trollbeads First US Concept Store Grand Opening

trollbeads-southpark-concept-store1Yesterday saw the opening of the very first Trollbeads Concept Store in the US!  For those of you familiar with Trollbeads Southpark in Ohio, they were a kiosk and recently moved to their own dedicated store.  This is exciting news for the US as it signals a significant growth and investment in the market by the company and I am all for this brand getting more exposure.  For reference, the store is located at:

Trollbeads at Southpark
Southpark Center Mall
500 Southpark Center
Strongsville, OH 44136

They continually post the latest uniques on their Facebook page (so give them a like ;)) and is operated by Trollbeads US.  They sell both the traditional line and X by Trollbeads as well, and offer free domestic shipping.  These photos are courtesy of Trollbeads and the store looks incredible!  I hope I have the opportunity to visit them some time.  Are you interested in seeing more concept stores open up?

I think this is great and we need one in or near Seattle!

    • Leann

I know, right?! I would love that! 😀

  • Mew Maria

I’m originally from that area, and was really surprised when I discovered there was a Trollbeads kiosk at a mall in NE Ohio. I’m currently in a big city, and have never run into anyone who’s familiar with Trollbeads. Now a store? I guess the edge of the Midwest must have the right demographic. Hm.

    P.S. Mom, restrain yourself! ;D

    • Leann

I know! It’s a hotbed of bead activity, lol.

  • Tracy

I would love it, but we don’t even have a Pandora concept store in San Diego, so I’m not holding my breath 🙂

    • Leann

I know…they’ve got a lot of expanding to do out West!

  • Tanya

I just bought my first Trollbeads bracelet today and I am so excited! I got the Stories of You at a little store not far from me. I’m in Montreal, Canada and the website only shows 3 retailers within a reasonable distance for me. So I went to one this morning but was extremely disappointed they had less than 20 or so beads to pick from and only 2 sizes of bracelet, which were too small for me. So, I went to the second store, which is where I got my new bracelet, and I was so happy but they also had less than 25 or so beads. Is this the usual with Trollbeads? Do most people just order online? I am a Pandora junkie usually so just have no clue. I really hope they open a store near me soon!! I saw pictures of you looking at huge trays of Trollbeads and I want do that so bad! lol
Thanks so much for this blog. I don’t think I would have found all these wonderful beads if it weren’t for you Leann 🙂 I have been contemplating some ohm beads too lol this is a dangerous blog!

    • Martha

Tanya, I have found the same poor selection of Trollbeads (as in fewer than 20) at at least a couple of stores in Ontario, so maybe it’s common for Canada. I’ve had great service ordering online from Perlen (Denmark), Tartooful (Vancouver) and Trollbeads Akron (USA). Enjoy your new bracelet!

    • Leann

Yes, a lot of smaller retailers barely have anything :(. There’s three stores like that around me and I don’t even bother going to them anymore. They don’t even have the production beads and haven’t even heard of uniques! I would recommend ordering online, there’s a lot more selection and most stores are happy to send live pictures.

I’m so glad you find the blog helpful! 😀

I am so confused. I thought the one in New York was a concept store. What is that one? I plan to visit it over the holidays.

    • Leann

I thought so too, but I’m told that it’s a pop up store. Not sure what the difference is but this one is officially a concept store :).

  • Beverly

I thought the New York City store is a concept store. The storefront features a TB sign prominently across thee front and they sell TBs products exclusively. I wonder what the difference is between that store and a concept one.

The NYC staff is very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable as well. It is well worth my trip from New Jersey. That’s where I go if I want to buy glass beads.

    • Leann

They’re operated by Trollbeads US, but I’m told it’s a pop up store? This one is officially a concept store :).

  • Rose

Southpark mall in Strogsville, Ohio is huge. This mall also has a Pandora concept store. I am going to check out the Trollbead store soon!

    • Leann

Oooh lucky! Let us know how it is :).

  • kathie

    Ohmygosh, I was just
there today. I have loved the kiosk for several years now and knew they
were going to “move up to a storefront” but I didn’t realize they
were the first concept store!? Excellent. The folks there are always
super nice and helpful, everyone will love it. Ran into some folks from
“corporate” today and shared my opinions on various topics.
They asked excellent questions and seemed very attentive to my answers and
comments. I think this signals an excellent direction for TB in general.
The store itself is nicely laid out with large “play tables” where
you can sit and work on bracelets or just chat. Very inviting feeling to
it. TB and the ladies who work there have done a wonderful job setting up
the store……It is a blessing AND a curse living so close to a concept
    store……there goes the grocery money……

    • Leann

Wow! That sounds amazing! I love the idea of having play tables, that would be so fun to get together with friends and other fans to arrange bracelets. I bet it would be super dangerous to live near a concept store :D.

  • Janie

I wish i could go! I think Trollbeads is so much more creative than the other brands, but in the UK, Trollbeads is alot more expensive than Pandora. I think Trollbead’s quality is on par with Pandora so I can’t justify such a high price tag for a brand that doesn’t event have a concept store here. However, when I head to the USA again, I will be sure to get myself a Trollbead bracelet as its more reasonably priced over there

    • Janie

Or Leann, do you know if Trollbeads are cheaper in Denmark or Scandinavia than the US? I’ll be in Scandinavia next year

      • Leann

Trollbeads is more expensive in Europe, but Perlen ( offers similar prices to US and they ship free internationally.

    • Leann

Retailers here do ship overseas, you know ;). There are no shipping restrictions on this brand. Some stores even have free international shipping.

      • Janie

Yes I’ve tried a few US sites but when I go to the checkout page, they add the 20% UK VAT tax on it which then makes it not much cheaper. Guess I’ll have to look for sites that don’t add the VAT. Most people in London I know who have troll or pandora buy the beads at an airport duty free shop or overseas when they go on holidays. It’s not that we can’t pay the prices here, we just know that it’s cheaper overseas

      • Leann

Yikes! Do they really? Yeah, it doesn’t really seem fair that there’s such a price discrepancy. 🙁

  • Sharene

I’m about 20 minutes away and couldn’t get there on the 18th. Bummer. I’ve been to the Kiosk and I will be visiting the store MUCH in 2015. Yay 🙂 I’ve been to the Pandora store as well. And yes, the dangers of living so close, it’s awful. I’ll be walking around needing a haircut and new shoes, but I’ll have my BEADS! LOL Now all I need is my All-Time Favorite of all, my OHM beads to pop up a Kiosk or a store in that Mall. That would be HEAVEN! 🙂

    • Leann

Aww, too bad! It looks like fun :). We definitely have our priorities, don’t we? 😉

  • Alexandra Cotto

    Hey everyone!

Its really interesting to know that they just opened the first concept store in US the same time as in PR. They are located in a Outlet, although they are offered by other jewelry stores around the island. Its real simple and cozy. services staff is very pleasing and they were definitely prepared for holiday season in merchandise stock. They told me that they were going to have the Beach Collection all year round since we are in the Caribbean.

    • Leann

Very cool! Concept stores are great :).
