Trollbeads Delicate Kit

trollbeads-delicate-kitWith all the wonderful releases that Trollbeads has debuted this season, I’ve gotten a bit sidetracked in writing my reviews for their Spring 2015 Collection.  I always like to start with the glass beads from the releases and I published a feature on the Aqua Kit last month so I’m following up with a look at the Delicate Kit today.  Included are 6 beads named Pink Conch, Sea Anemone, Neptune’s Promise, Pink Petals, Tropical Conch, and Rose Ribbon.

This kit includes a wonderful mix of soft pinks and complementary greys.  The simpler designs include the Rose Ribbon which is not a new bead but a reissue, and Tropical Conch which is grey rather than the mauve depicted in the stock photo.  Pink Petals is a beautiful sideways flower with hints of fuschia underneath, and the Sea Anemone is similar to the Aurora style (iridescent purple) glass that Trollbeads has been playing with recently.  A surprisingly popular one has been the Neptune’s Promise; the colors are nothing like the stock picture, rather than shades of lavender, it is actually taupe and black with stripes of white.  My actual favorite and one that has perhaps been overlooked is the Pink Conch, which has wide pink stripes interspersed with brown and glitter over the top.

Trollbeads production beads are small core and can only fit on threadless bracelets, and incompatible with Pandora, Ohm Beads, and Chamilia.  It’s also the last day for the buy 3, get 1 free promotion so be sure to take advantage of the deal while you can!  My recommended retailers are: the official webstore (US), or stores like Trollbeads Delaware (US), Trollbeads Gallery (US),  Perlen (Denmark), Macrow Exclusive Bead Store (UK), and Oromoda (Italy).  I added to the color scheme of this set with more pink and grey beads which are so beautiful together, and floral silvers that are perfect for spring.  Which pattern is your favorite?  What do you think of this kit?

I love the Delicates too Leann! The Pink Conch is DEFINITELY my favorite bead from this kit as well! Perhaps when I complete my ocean themed/Aqua kit bracelet, I will invest in the Delicates kit too. These beads are stunning! 🙂

    • Leann

Yay! Another bracelet design in the works? 😉 There are so many possibilities with this brand!

  • Lori

I really love this kit too! I think the pink conch is really lovely and I also love the sea anemone bead for the colour variation. Neptunes Promise is another bead I like. I always seem to really like 1/2 a kit, am so/so with 1/3 and dislike 1/6, which in this case is the Rose ribbon. They could have varied it somewhat to make it more interesting, like adding glitter, or maybe making it more of a spiral nautilus shell with Aurora colouring, or making a pink swirly bead or a pink peacock style bead.

I agree, the kits are not always a hit for me but it’s a good deal to buy them in the sets, lol. I feel the same way about their unique kits!

  • amanda

Pink conch is my definite favorite. I love how organic looking it is… too bad I don’t have a trollbeads bracelet, lol.

I have many Pandora bracelets Amanda, and I was determined not to invest in another brand! But, Trollbeads glass is so gorgeous. When I saw the Spring 2015 collection, I was just blown away! I have almost completed my first Troll bracelet and I am truly amazed by the beauty of these beads! 😉

Haha, Carol. You’re not making it any easier! I will definitely have to start one someday. 🙂

    • Leann

      Aww, next bracelet promo? 😉

  • Faye

Your set, and the bracelet you’ve made with it, is spectacular! I am not finding such colors sourcing neither Sea Conch, Neptune’s Promise, nor Sea Anemone in person, much paler than yours, much more washed out versions for sale.

    • Leann

Oh interesting! It is definitely worth it to see them in person or have photos taken if you want to choose your beads. Luckily these were the ones I was sent sight unseen, although it may be just the closeup photography too ;).
