Trollbeads at the Beach Recap

trollbeads-at-the-beach-october-2014-event1Last weekend, Trollbeads Delaware (aka Blooming Boutique) held their semi-annual Trollbeads at the Beach event at their store in Lewes, Delaware.  I was honored to be invited and was so excited for one last hurrah before the kiddo joins the family.  The trip was smooth and we packed a lot into a short time!  Friday was the pre-event reception and we got to see the new Trollbeads Holiday 2014 Collection live and up close, as well as the Artisan Event Beads that are only available at a few retailers.

Saturday was the main show and Micha, the owner of Blooming Boutique, put on an incredible itinerary!  Gail Crossman Moore was demonstrating lampwork glass making and Tomas Cenius was on hand from Denmark doing drawings of designs, wax carvings, and quick sketches.  In addition, there were over 6,000 uniques to browse through and for someone like me who has to buy exclusively online, I definitely felt like a kid in a candy store!  I got quickly down to business and managed to find a staggering number of beads I wanted.  With the buy 3, get 1 free promotion extended through the weekend for the event, I definitely took advantage of the offer.  There were gift bags with purchase that was a free mystery charm GWP, and at the end they drew raffle tickets for amazing knockout beads.

The last activity was scheduled for Sunday and it was a brunch and design party for those new to the brand and wanted inspiration ideas for their beads.  I took another look through the leftover uniques, and of course found a few more I couldn’t live without ;).  It was short day as we had to head to the airport and our flight back but I had an amazing time meeting other Trollies and getting to see all the product in person.

A huge thank you to the Blooming Boutique team, especially Micha, for inviting me to the event and I wish I could attend the next one!  The spring get together is already scheduled for April 11th, so be sure to save the date if you’re interested in going.  Are you going to be planning for the next party?

I bet when you were done you needed an extra suitcase lol! Did you leave any greens ones behind? Btw, You look great!

    • Leann

Haha! Thankfully the beads are small and fit in my carryon ;). I sure did find a lot of greens I liked, too many probably, lol. Thanks so much! It was a really fun trip :).

  • Martha

    6,000 uniques? I can’t even imagine! Wow!

    • Leann

It was mind-boggling ;). I was like a kid in a candy store!

  • CarolinaWings

Looks like it was fun! I hope you will show us some of your new beads.

    • Leann

I will! I got some delicious black glitter beads and burgundy ones too :).

  • Bonnie May

Wow!! Looks like you summed that up well! Still sorry I missed it. April 11 is the last day of Passover, so I’ll be winding up my spring break. I’m going to try to make it for sure! Maybe I can return the favor & pick out some pretties for you!

    • Leann

Awesome! I’m glad you’ll be able to make the next one :D. I wish I could go again, it’s such a quaint town. You’re going to have a blast!

  • Ka Spa

Wow my heart is pounding just looking at how many beads they had. My favorite shop closed last year and the closest stores to me now both don’t like to order universal uniques, which is what I want the most now.

    • Leann

Hehe, it was like a race to the trays, haha. At least there was no elbowing or hair pulling :). Surprisingly civilized, I’d say. Lol.

  • Charmer

Glad you had such a fun and fruitful trip! Please do post pictures when you complete some new bracelets with your haul. 🙂

    • Leann

Will do! Gotta figure out what to do with these first ;).
