Thomas Sabo Karma Beads Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection

thomas-sabo-summer-2014-coverThomas Sabo introduced a line of charms called Karma Beads earlier this year and they’ve just released their first collection today!  Originally, I thought this was part of a late summer release but apparently it is actually their Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection.  The new pieces include silver, pavé, rose gold, gold beads, pendants, and stoppers.  This concept, while very familiar for us European charm bracelet fans, has been a departure for the brand as they’ve only offered traditional dangle charms before.  Many have compared Karma with the Pandora Essence Collection, and I offer my thoughts in a video comparison of both products.

The Karma Beads Collection utilize a variety of metals and textures including silver, gold finish, rose gold plating, pavé, and gemstones, and features an edgy glam aesthetic.  The new release is huge and focuses on more pavé designs and gemstones – I love so many of these!   Also, there is a new bracelet option available which is a waxed cotton material but has the same silver Karma clasp.  These are an affordable alternative if want to get into this brand without purchasing the silver chain.

I adore my Karma bracelet and have been eagerly awaiting to see what designs they come out with next.  I’m definitely not disappointed and will probably be investing in another bracelet soon.  For an introduction on how Karma Beads work, check out My first Thomas Sabo Karma bracelet.  This brand can be purchased from their official US site or from my preferred retailer Joshua James Jewellery (they do ship overseas).  Do you like this line?  Have you been able to see them in person?

Some really lovely beads and i like them a lot but some carry a hefty price tag!!

    • Leann

Yes, the price depends on how complex the design in. The silver beads are very affordable :).

I continue to be impressed with their designs, and continue to wish that Pandora had half the design creativity with the Essence line. The black pave scales is such a creative and beautiful design! I haven’t bought any yet, the prices on the ones I really love are very high, and I didn’t want to buy yet another silver bracelet. Now that they have the black cotton bracelet, it might be the perfect way to start a bracelet finally 🙂

    • Leann

I love the black fish! It is definitely at the top of my wish list. I like how they’re evolving the designs. I think Essence ties itself too much to representing characteristics, it’s probably hard to be creative with it, lol.

  • Trulla Troll

I love the hand of fatima! Can someone tell me if it fits troll?

    • Leann

I don’t think it’ll fit Trollbeads since the Karma bracelet is thinner but I haven’t seen it in person.

Love this collection!I am going to Nassau next month hope to pick some up. I like to see in person what I am buying. Even though I got to see your bracelet on the cruise, Leann, I still like to “play” with it in deciding what to purchase. Maybe after the first time I will feel more comfortable ordering online.

    • Leann

Perfect! I hope you like it in person too. I made my first purchase blind, but I love it :D.

  • Carolyn

Omg wow @-@ this is amazing! !!!! Live this release!!

    • Leann

      They’re great, right? 😀

  • Boricuadiva

Very nice beads… guess I’ll be making my 1st TS purchase really soon. Loving their rose gold, and that Koi fish is a must. Do the beads fit the Essence? Will see your post comparing both so I can figure out which bracelet is best.

    • Leann

The beads do fit Essence bracelets but not vice versa. There’s more info in the comparison post :).

      • Boricuadiva

        Thank you!

  • Melinda Deyhle

WOW need that hand of Fatima!

    • Leann

It’s so detailed and nice. 😀

      • Melinda Deyhle

I don’t know why, but I have been obsessed with hamsa/hand of fatima motifs and luckily everyone is making them so lucky me!

      • Leann

Yes, it’s very popular design this year! 🙂
