The Hunger Games

This is off-topic, but I just wanted to share how much my husband and I have enjoyed reading the Hunger Games!  It was the book for my book club and I had had it for about 3 weeks but I didn’t start reading it until the night before our meeting.  I stayed up until 4 am finishing it!  While Wes and I were on the cruise, he also got into the book and stayed up late reading (I don’t think he’s read in two years, lol) so I knew it was engrossing.  We can’t wait for the movie to come out next week (3/23)!

Well, I’m also a bit of a nail polish enthusiast and when found a collection by China Glaze inspired by Hunger Games I fell in love.  One of my favorite bloggers is Scrangie and she does a phenomenal job with nail polishes.  She did a bunch of swatches with CG Colors from the Capitol and I knew I had to get them all. This is the first time I’ve bought an entire collection of nail polish, and every shade is as dazzling as the last.  I got them at a great price and they came while we were gone last week.  I’m so excited to try them out!

You have to read the rest of The Hunger Games series. Catching Fire and Mockingjay, you will not put them down.

I read all of the books. The young actress who played Rue, is “Amandla Stenberg” who is my childhood friend, Karen’s daughter. So it’s great to see her on the big screen.
