*redbalifrog* Christmas/Winter Charms

redbalifrog-christmas-bracelet-coverThis month has been flying by and this year, in addition to the most recent release from *redbalifrog*, I wanted to highlight a few gems from the brand that have long been part of the line.  Amanda has a number of specific holiday collections, including Christmas 2011, Joy to the World, Northern Lights, and the latest Making Spirits Bright.  They’ve all had their dedicated reviews (accessible through the hyperlinks), and today I’m focusing on Avery the Elf, Holly, and Winter Snow.  Not only are they great for the holiday, but they can be used all season long.

Avery the Elf is a perennial favorite for this time of year and I don’t know why it look me so long to get him.  He has an impish expression on his face and is sitting cross legged on the bracelet.  There’s a snowflake on his shirt and he’s sporting a jaunting cap as well.  It’s a rather tall charm but similar in size to other *redbalifrog* charms.

Holly and Winter Snow are both rounder beads with a lot of texture and detail.  Holly is a sprig of the evergreen with bit of the branch, leaves, and berries featured in the design.  Winter Snow shows all sizes and patterns of snow which is carved on an oxidized background.  They’re wonderfully nuanced charms that have the incredible signature craftsmanship from this brand.

*redbalifrog* beads have large diameter cores and are compatible with all bracelet styles, including Pandora.  These can be purchased from  Redbalifrog US (official US distributor), Perlen (Denmark),Oromoda (Italy), and Macrow Exclusive Bead Store (UK).  I couldn’t decide between a more traditional Christmas combination or a winter one so I mixed it up a bit.  Have you gotten any of these charms?  What’s your favorite *redbalifrog* holiday design?

I adore Avery the Elf! Leann do you know a Canadian distributor?

It’s cute, isn’t it? I don’t know of a Canadian distributor but most of these stores ship to Canada :).

I got Avery last year; he was my first Redbalifrog purchase. This bead is really adorable; he looks just like my idea of what an elf should look like…that retro, “old-fashioned” look of elves from the 30’s & 40’s, with great detailing. My Granny had decorations for many years that resembled Avery. When I think of Christmas and the holiday season, those images are always so prevalent. Thanks, Leann, for the article on these festive charms; your Christmas bracelet is beautiful! Take care…Kim

Thank you! It was slightly too big for me which is why it took me so long to get it, but it’s so perfect for the holidays I could resist no longer ;). I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Kim! 🙂
