Pandora Expression Watches Appear in US

pandora-expression-watches2We have an update on the silicone watches out from Pandora named the Expressions collection.  They are already available in Denmark and are slotted for release in Australia; today’s post bring news that they’ve been sighted in the US as well.  While these watches are still not widely distributed, 28 Concept Stores have been selected for testing out the market, including Galleria (Dallas, Texas), Towson (Maryland), Freehold (New Jersey), and Fair Oaks (Virginia) where these are available to purchase from August 30th through November.  Assuming that they sell well, the watches could appear in stores at the end of this year or early 2014.

More product details have also been provided along with these wonderful photos of the different colors, thanks to a charms addict.  These timepieces feature Japanese movement rather than Swiss made and instead of the Black Diamond Crown they have stainless steel crowns adhered with enamel epoxy that matches the color of the band.  The faces are stainless steel and mineral crystal (vs. synthetic sapphire) so are not scratch-resistant like other Pandora watches.  These have 1-year warranty and priced at $120USD.

I feel better about the watches from these closeup live shots, but I’m not completely sold on them.  Added to that the substitutions in materials and I’m quite sure that I am not the demographic for this product.  Regardless, these seem to capitalize on the bold colored watch trend that’s been highly popular in Europe and up and coming in the US.  Has these piqued your interest?  Would you buy one of these watches?

I like the “Expressions” watch collection especially for younger Pandora fans or perhaps if you prefer a more casual look than most Pandora watches.

    • Leann

Yes definitely for a younger demographic!

  • Samantha

The white and black ones are decent looking, but the silicone makes the other colours look rather cheap. I personally prefer the other Pandora watches much more!

    • Leann

I like the classic-ness of the stainless steel watches the best. I don’t prefer these either :(.

  • Judy

Do you have a complete list of stores? Any I California?

    • Leann

I don’t have the full list…maybe you can call around?

    • Judy Borowy

Tyler Mall has them in Riverside.

  • Ashley

I’m not big on watches, never been a watch wearer. They are lovely if you do watches. Me? I’d rather put my money toward other Pandora stuff! 🙂

    • Leann

Hehe, no doubt! Especially since these don’t look like their worth $120.

  • Linda

I have no appreciation for these watches and would definitely not purchase one. I’m rather surprised that Pandora would put these out. They look cheap. Their original watches are attractive.

    • Leann

Agreed. But it’s taken me some time to find a watch line of theirs that I like. 🙂

  • Sharon

I like the watch but not the price. It doesn’t look like a $120.00 watch.

    • Laura

I totally agree, Sharon! I like them and might have purchased one for more casual, fun outfits…but they just don’t look like $120. Most of the Swatch (very well-known brand of silocone watches) are less than $100, and the ones they have over $100 are swiss-made, have a 3-year warranty, and are waterproof. No idea why Pandora thinks they can charge so much for these!

    • Leann

If the price point was lower…

  • Aideeh

I have a Swiss made silicone watch that looks a lot more expensive than this Pandora line and cost a lot less! It is also an Atomic watch and keeps very accurate time and I don’t need to wind it ever. These, not at all appealing.

    • Leann

That sounds interesting! Do post a picture of your watch if you can.

  • Jennifer Hess

Cheap materials, cheap looking :(. Big disappointment.

    • Leann

      :(, I can’t argue with you! Lol.

  • Cilia

I like them and will definitely get one. I have a white watch (the ceramic one) and a black (the LE Australian one) already so I am going to get one of the coloured ones- the blue one. It’ll be a great colour accent to wear with my blue bracelet, very summery! I have seen them at my store and they look well-made.

By the way, they are $99 AUD here, so a bit cheaper than elsewhere (so far).

    Great article, thanks, CA!

    • Leann

Thanks, Cilia. Glad you like it! 😉 Are you going to get one soon?

      • Cilia

I’m still making up my mind about this watch. While I like the look and the colours available, I don’t like the idea that they scratch. I will wait and see what people who bought these watches are saying. They are ‘only’ $99 in Australia (tax included) but if they scratch easily I rather spend my money on something else.

      • Leann

Looks too young for me…not a fan of the material either.

  • Carolyn

They’ve been out in Australia for 2 weeks now I think for AU$99. And I don’t see any moving…people are more interested in them like the charms, etc. maybe they should try something like Story and make watch bands you can charm up…or a watch charm to add to your bracelet…that was be awesome @,@

  • Alicia

my store in Bridgewater NJ is one of the 2 test stores. The colors are beautiful in person. It is quite a fun, casual watch. I will be getting one of these for myself!! 🙂

    • Leann

That’s great! Glad to hear from the other side ;).

  • Kaye Knkaye

Silicon strap is not for me at all. If one has a toddler and love wearing watch/jewelry all the time this is the right pick 🙂
