I first introduced the Ohm Beads Community Bead Project with their very first design – Black Bird Pie. This article takes a look at the third charm in the Community Bead Project collection which is Girl’s Night Out*. The charm resembles the infamous little black dress and refers to when we ladies need to get away and hang out with the girls! In addition to the dress silhouette, the front of the bead has a margarita detail and the back shows off a stiletto heel, both of these a must to complete any girls’ night out. These following photos show the process to create a charm from concept to execution.
It’s always great to see what people come up for the Community Bead Project as I think it’s one of the funnest competitions for fans to see their ideas come to life. It’s being run more frequently now with #5 (Chocolate Bar) just released last month and the themes for #6 and 7 have been chosen. The Community Bead Project is mainly run from the Ohm Beads Facebook page and Ohm Beads regularly solicits suggestions on future charms, so if you have any additional ideas, feel free to comment below as Ohm Beads checks this blog regularly.
The Community Bead Project is one of my favorite things to watch as it’s a wonderful way to involve the community and gives insight on how a charm is made. As with all Ohm Beads, these are completely compatible with other major bracelet brands, including Pandora. If we’re painting the town red, then of course I have to pair Girl’s Night Out with a red theme! I decided to feature this charm on the Trollbeads bangle for a chic way to wear your beads. What do you normally do on your girls’ night out?
