Common terms when you’re navigating the Pandora Jewelry Community

GWP: gift with purchase

HTF: hard to find

BPP: blue primrose path

CC: Christ charm

OWH: One World Health

FTC: family ties charm

CNY: Chinese New Year charms

RWC: royal wedding charm

WW: worldwide (usually in reference to shipping)

PP: Paypal fees

PM: personal message (on Facebook)

LE: limited edition

bump: bring up my post (in Facebook group comments – will bring the post to the top of the page)

b’let: short for bracelet

Oxi: oxidized bracelet/charm

Clips: snap on charms (usually used on the middle threads or at the end of the bracelet)

Spacers: smaller, thinner charms that are threadless (usually used to fill space or for aesthetics)

Tumbler: machine used to clean Pandora at Concept Stores

Hallmarks:  ALE (S)925 used to mark a piece of jewelry by Pandora.  ALE is the initials of Algot Enevoldsen, which is the father of Per Enevoldsen the founder of PANDORA.  925 denotes silver or 585 for gold.  Charms manufactured during and after 2011 have an “S” in front of the 925 to conform to the new international standard for silver.

Internet shorthand:

  • PMSL: pissing myself laughing
  • LMAO: laughing my ass off
  • IMO: in my opinion (alternate IMHO: in my honest opinion)
  • Gutted (British slang): extreme disappointment
  • ROFL: rolling on floor laughing
  • FTW: for the win
  • BAER: big ass eye roll
  • SIL: sister-in-law
  • MIL: mother-in-law
  • DH: darling husband
