Chamilia Spring 2015 European Disney Collection

chamilia-disney-season-2-2015-coverThere has been much uproar over the fact that the new Pandora Disney line is restricted to North America and that is because the licensing agreements are region specific.  Due to this, Chamilia has discontinued their Disney charms in the US but the brand still holds the rights in Europe and they’re still bringing out new designs.  Today we have a sneak peek at the beads coming out with the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, otherwise known as Season 2 for Chamilia.  This will premiere along with the regular charms on April 10th, but only for Europe.

Along with the debut of the live-action Cinderella movie, there is a focus on a Cinderella theme for both Pandora and Chamilia.  Combined with their Pumpkin Carriage, Glass Slipper, and Cinderella Princess charm, the new Cinderella Castle and Cinderella’s Butterfly make the perfect bracelet to celebrate this story.  There’s also a few charms that will be exclusive to the Disney Cruise line.

Since Chamilia does not have country restricted shipping like Pandora does, these are available for international fans as long as you can find a retailer who will ship worldwide.  I adore the retro look of the Porthole Mickey and Minnie and would love to experience a European Disney Cruise sometime.  How do you think these Disney Collections compare?  Do you see anything you’d like to get?

I was at Disneyland yesterday. The fun wheel is there at downtown Disney store. And there are some decent Chamilia Disney beads too.

    • Nic

I wonder if the Chamilia ones were on sale like they were online…

      • Vanessaqq

Sorry that I did not ask because my son was there and he got very impatient to go to Disneyland.

      • Nic

Oh, no worries! It’s good to know they have a few. I understand, how old is he? We were there this past weekend for my sisters 10th birthday. 🙂 Next time I go I will have to check out if they are on sale.

      • Vanessaqq

He is 5. We may bumped each other around. I saw several girls with the happy birthday badge on that day.

      • Nic

Awe, what a wonderful age! Especially for Disneyland! I bet he enjoys it so. It is more than likely we did bump into eachother, LOL. She had her makeover at Bippity Boppity and it was all about her. Saturday was her actual bday and it was the first time her actual bday was when we went to Disneyland. we usually go a weekend before or after to celebrate her birthday. 🙂

The new ones are not on sale, it’s just the discontinued designs on sale :).

      • Nic

Thanks Leann, I didn’t know they had any of them online. Now I must go look. I was asking Vanesssaqq if the World Of Disney store in Downtown Disney had them at the sale price. I thought they were pulled a while before Pandora came in. They did go on sale on the website, and it wasn’t a large selection.
….off to check out Chamilia, I only like a few. Most are not as good looking as Pandora. 🙂

I like the butterfly and the spacer, but that’s about it. I won’t be purchasing them however, because I’m not really interested. I still prefer Pandora over Chamilia. I just purchased the Magical Day Mickey at Disney this week and I just love it! It was the perfect bead for the great family vacation we just had during spring break.

    • Leann

They definitely have a different aesthetic! Anything exclusive always gets my interest though ;).

  • Laura Summers

Looks super gaudy when compared to the Pandora Cinderella charms.

  • Norah

I am still waiting for Goffy and Pluto from any brand. 🙁

  • Nic

Hmm. They just don’t do anything for me. The Butterfly is kind of cute. They don’t look as polished as Pandora IMO.

The Disney Dream ship had 4 of those beads already in January. Here’s the bracelet of charms that I got while I sailed on January 5, 2015. I’m happy to learn that DCL will continue to have Chamilia charms. It looks like the only difference is that the “Wish you were here” charm says “Believe in Magic” instead of “Living the Dream”, perhaps to reflect the names of the 4 different ships.

    • Leann

Damn! More exclusives to hunt down :O. Thanks for the info!! 😀

      • Brenda

There are 4 DCL postcard charms, one for each of the ships. I saw a photo somewhere with a photo of all four. The front of each postcard charm is the same, but the back says something with the name of each ship. One says “Believe in Magic”, another one says “What a Wonder”, a third one says “Living the Dream”, and a fourth one says “A Fantasy at Sea”.

      • Leann

Oh wow! That is very cool. Not good for people who want to get all of them though D:.
