Alex and Ani Providence Collection

alexani-providence-collection-coverAlex and Ani premieres another collection today called Providence. It’s a departure from their typical single charm bangles and includes chain bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings.  This preview covers the bracelets but the designs have matching complementary necklaces, earrings, and rings as well.  Unlike their usual recycled metals, this collection includes sterling silver and gold-plated jewelry, which also increases the price as well.

The Providence Collection is aptly named as the motifs focus on spirituality including their popular Path of Life, Lotus Peace Petals, Skeleton Key, Endless Knot, Feather, Hand of Fatima, and Evil Eye designs.  Rather than their one size fits most bangles, these are adjustable chain bracelets which is really interesting.  I really like all the charms they picked and I have their corresponding bangles so I’d love to see these in person.

alexani-providence-collection-stackedThis brand is made in the US and since the company is based on Rhode Island, perhaps Providence is also a homage to their city.  The bracelets are $68USD, necklaces are $78USD, rings are $48, and earrings are $48.  The entire collection can be found on their official website, and they are amazing stacked together.  Do you like this new look for the brand?

I love the pull chain bracelet, that is fantastic! I have very small wrists and never wear these kind of bracelets because they’re usually huge on me, and are also a pain to put on… these are beautiful, look easy to put on, and would actually fit me!

Awesome! I really would like to try these out, I think I’ll have to add them to my wish list! 😉

I think I am going to put clippers on this pulling chain braclet if I buy it. It is very tempting. Luckily, they are LE. Therefore, I still have time to recover from my huge wallet damage.

      It’s always a juggling act! 🙂

I find that Alex and Ani really tarnish within a few weeks – I don’t use any products so I find them very disappointing. What do you think Lean?

    • Leann

Yes, I’ve had some problems with the tarnish as well :/. At least it’s not too expensive.

loving the evil eye and hamsa. ordering the evil eye now in gold. i have had trouble with the wearing off-not tarnishing of their regular line, but by definition of, these gold-filled, not plated, shouldn’t do that and the silver version is actually sterling. another note, these work as anklets too.

      Great point! Thanks Carolyn :).
