Pandora LE 2014 Survivor Charm

pandora-canadian-breast-cancer-dangleThis week Pandora released a new limited edition charm in anticipation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year.  It is called the 2014 Survivor Charm and will only be available in Canadian stores as it benefits the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  This charm will be sold through October with 20% of all retail sales donated to the CBCF.  It’s a beautifully simple charm with the cancer awareness ribbon and “2014” engraved on the back of the Unforgettable Moments pendant and is priced at $65CAD.

I did find the dangle on Charm Junction, a Canadian authorized retail store, but the shipping to the US is quite high.  Otherwise, it can be purchased in stores across Canada you’ll have to find a Canadian friend if you like this charm.  What do you think of this design?

  1. Elaine Rogers says:

I’m gonna have to over pay for this! 😉

  2. I think I will go look for this tomorrow – I don’t know whether it will just be at Concept stores or all Canadian Pandora stores, but I guess the latter.

    • It should be at all Canadian Pandora retailers :)

      • Awesome, thanks Aysha!

      • Yes it is, but seemingly in quite limited quantities, as where I got mine only had 4, but it wasn’t a Concept store, which probably have more. And the ribbon isn’t as black as the stock picture, it is more like the grey oxidized effect they do for most of these types of charms.

      • Thanks for sharing! I hope it would be tasteful :).

  3. Pandoortje says:

I’m getting bored with this dangle, they use it for everything now. The landmarks, the world cup in Brasil etc.

  4. Kaye Knkaye says:

I like that it is silver..not the usual pink for a change.

It being limited just does not make to me. One can just buy the plain Pandora dangle and have it engraved anytime! Not very original.

    • It’s nice that it’s not colored so you can use it for a lot of different causes. I don’t like that it’s just the same dangle either :/.

  5. Camille Johannsen says:

If it’s as black as it looks, I don’t think that is a good omen do you? It should have been outlined not totally filled in yikes! In the Jewish religion black ribbons are given to mourners at the funeral!

    Not well thought out out!

    • Yikes! I guess they could have added pink enamel to it.

      • I was in two minds about getting this but you made up my mind for me Camille, the thought of this black mourning ribbon puts me off esp since it is a SURVIVOR charm!

  6. I just ordered this, with the $25.00 FedEx price it came to $90.00 CA ($84.51 USD). I’d admit I’ve seen prettier charms, but I’m a survivor and wanted it for my Breast Cancer bracelet.

  7. I do not like this charm. It is not “special” enough to represent a cause that is so dear to and emotional for many women. The dangle looks like all of the other several dangles Pandora has released this year. I’ve been waiting for this specific charm all year. I won’t be buying it even though it appears to be LE :( Sorry, Pandora, huge let down … Maybe next year.

  8. If anyone wants help in getting this, I can help out 😀

  9. Yuck, I was diagnosed with BC this year and was looking forward to a pretty BC charm but this one is disappointing. As others have mentioned, it’s used for so many of the other landmarks, baseball, etc. plus being black not only is it ugly but given out at Jewish funerals, it’s very tasteless of Pandora!!! Also, I think they are doing many on the cheap with using the same dangle charm and just changing the “picture” on it.

  10. I just ordered it as well for $25.00 fedex and it says it has been delivered. I also like that a portion goes to the cause. Has anyone found the autumn charms in stores yet?

  11. Is there any word on what the Australian charm for BC will look like?
