I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a Trollbeads release, but I’ve been eagerly anticipating this collection for quite a few weeks now! The summer has felt like a long Trollbeads draught, lacking any new beads since the LE Aurora bangle set in April and the special edition Summer Stones in May. By contrast to the earlier half of this year, the fall is jam packed with releases and will sure to keep fans on their toes (and their wallets depleted!). Following the Autumn 2013 Collection, comes the super secret Trollbeads X debuting on September 18th; October 4th will be another large milestone with the People’s Bead Traditional Sayings Collection and the Halloween 2013 Collection coming out on the same day; and the Christmas 2013 Collection is to premiere sometime in November. But back to the current release…this is quite a large collection and thanks to Trollbeads Studios we have lovely live images to look at!
My favorite charms from this season is undoubtedly the Flowers of the Month set. Combining my love of flower charms and zodiacs, these beads are perfect to represent birthdays, if you’re an avid gardener, or if you just enjoy the beauty of flora. The price range is between $53-$56USD on these but the sizing does vary a bit; the smallest one would be Daisy of April and the biggest one is the Narcissus of December. I’m looking forward to offering my reviews on these charms, which I already adore!
The production glass beads are also wonderful, if somewhat more fitting with the springtime than the autumn, especially the Native Elements kit. Purple Heaven is the perfect companion to the LE Aurora bead featuring the same iridescent purple, blue, and pink shades. Some variation in size and colors are expected, with the Moonlight Bubbles having the most. These beads are individually $31USD or $155 per kit (1 free).
The etched and faceted glass are amazing but surprisingly consistent and not having as much deviation as you would normally expect from Trollbeads. Since these have a bit more complicated production process, they are priced at the next glass tier, $43USD each. If the glass beads are fairly the same, then the Sapphire took all the variation – this natural gemstone ranges from true royal blue to greyish black. There’s also a good amount of fogginess to the beads, but not inclusions so much. The Sapphire is priced the same as the Ruby, at $155USD (yeowza!).
The rest of the silvers are a bit uneventful for me, with the highlight being the Skeleton Spirit and the Ghost Fighters. Quite a few smaller pieces which have the best price at Price Tier I ($28USD), and a number of family themed charms which definitely have a market but don’t really speak to me.
The colors for the leather bracelets are perfect for fall and the cooler temperatures. Super versatile and very affordable for $33USD, Trollbeads is finally offering the duo-tone leathers in black and brown. Lastly, I’m always a fan of new clasps so the Water lock is a welcome addition to the collection; it is brilliantly crafted and fluid, but rather than liquid, it reminds me of bones and would be perfect for Halloween.
Don’t forget that Trollbead Boutique will be having their Autumn 2013 release trunk show: buy 3, get 1 free and a gift bag with every purchase from September 6th-9th. This is the perfect time to get those pieces from the collection that you’ve been coveting. What do you think of this new collection? Anything you’re chomping at the bit to have?
