Last week, Pandora launched its United Kingdom Flagship Concept Store in London, with a prime spot on Oxford Street. Since arriving in the UK 5 years ago, a flagship boutique has been a major goal of the company’s as London is one of the fashion capitals of the world. The Grand Opening of the UK Flagship Store was September 5th, and showcased the 200 square meter, 2-story location which becomes the largest Pandora Concept Store in the world. The opening lined up with the release of the Pandora Autumn 2013 Collection, which was highlighted during that day.
To celebrate the Grand Opening, Pandora went all out with contests, catering, and entertainment. Through the Pandora Club, UK members could enter to win a £1,000 of Pandora jewelry (participants do not have to attend) and for fans who showed up for the event, the first 75 people received a golden ticket good for a free gold butterfly swarm openworks charm (£269 value) with a purchase before noon. It’s no wonder the lines wrapped around the block for this occasion! The food was centered around the enchanted forest theme and I found these delectable photos on Twitter (photo credit stated below). My friend Natalie (big thanks!) attended the opening and provided me these wonderful shots of the store, it looked like a fabulous time.
This is Pandora’s 106th Concept Store opened in the UK and there are more than 950 Concept Stores around the globe. Earlier this year, I had the pleasure to attend the North American Flagship Store Grand Opening in New York City, in the fashionable SoHo neighborhood on Broadway Street. This flagship was shortly followed by the Grand Opening of the Scandinavian Flagship Store in May 2nd located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Added to these news is the higher than expected earnings that Pandora is experiencing this year to date and it’s been a great one for the company!
