Now that the autumn collection has arrived in stores, we can turn our attention to the upcoming Pandora Winter 2013 Collection! We’ve already had a look at the charms included in this release and today’s preview discusses the other jewelry pieces coming for this season. The official release date is November 4th, but I’ve been told that this collection should be available immediately after the September bracelet event, so around the last week of September.
I’m most excited about the new pavé lovepod-style rings, including the gorgeous large pod pavé rings, coming in purple and black; Pandora is also bringing the 8-pod pavé rings to silver. I’ve lusted longingly for the lovepod rings but with the hefty price tag associated with gold, it was just a pipedream until now. The black pavé rings and earrings are actually black crystal, not cubic zirconia, because there is a worldwide shortage of black CZ and to keep costs down, Pandora decided to substitute crystals instead of CZ.
The other prevailing theme extends the pavé design to feature stars and hearts, matching the charms and dangles that came out earlier this year. These are available in earring studs and rings. I can see the appeal, but they’re a bit too simple for my tastes. The snowflake pendant is also gorgeous and a must have for me from the winter set.
Overall, this is certainly a smaller release than the autumn collection, especially since over half the charms will be held back for the “12 Days of Christmas” promotion in November. Still, quite a few pieces I’m itching to get my hands on, any of these catch your eye?
