Alex and Ani – Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

alex-ani-edens-equinox-fall-winter-2013-collectionThe months are quickly passing us by and it’s time for brands to be delivering the collections for the remainder of the year.  Yesterday I reported on the Pandora Autumn 2013 Collection hitting the stores and today is the official release of the Alex and Ani Fall/Winter 2013 Collection!  Named Eden’s Equinox, the theme for this set is all about contrast – day and night, light and dark and features beaded bracelets rather than the simpler pendant and bangle bracelets that they’re best known for. This is something I first noticed with their Spring/Summer 2013 collection and it seems like they’re extending that look with this seasons’ offerings.

On trend for the fall, this collection features darker shades and I’m absolutely in love with the olivine beads especially the Fern Eden bangle.  There’s also splashes of summer color with teal and coral making their way into this set. All the bangles complement one another so well and they are perfect for stacking.  There are several styles available – larger beads, small beads, alternating metal and beads, and only one design of an all metal bangle. I prefer the larger beads especially since there are bands of crystals in between the sections. There are also two bangle bundles available named Sepia Equinox and Midnight Equinox for $158USD each.

Almost all the bangles are available in the Alex and Ani trademark Russian gold and Russian silver finish. While these are not made of precious metals, the bangles are made in the USA from recycled materials. The prices are between $38-$48USD, which is wonderfully affordable especially when you’re getting a few to stack. Alex and Ani are becoming quite popular overseas with retailers in the UK and Australia, and they are available from their online store or from authorized dealers across the US.  What do think of this collection?  Do you have any Alex and Ani bangles?

I’m a new fan to Alex and Ani. I bought recently the bangle with the long feather on it, so pretty! It blows my mind all the bangles that there are to choose from, I love the contrasting colors for Fall especially.

Oooh, that one is so pretty! There’s a lack of stores around here that carry the brand, so I just have to drool over the pictures online most of the time.

I’m not a fan – but that being said, I do like how thin they are and would look good stacked as a summery sort of feel. I hate wearing heaps of jewelery in summer…

    • Leann

Me too, heavy jewelry in summer just gets so icky. I can feel the metal getting tarnished from all the sweat, lol. These are very light in contrast. :)

I just recently received the Sepia Equinox bundle and it is gorgeous in person! Just love all the Fall colors. It’s definitely going to be my ‘go-to’ set to wear into the cooler months ahead.

    • Leann

Oooo, I love the Sephia bundle!! It’s definitely my colors ;). If you can post a picture, I’d love to see it! :D

I currently live in CT and I see women wearing these bracelets everywhere. Some girls have some serious stacks! The mall around here sells them in an established jewelry store and at a crafty kind of store that also sells Trollbeads. A friend of mine gave me a couple and they are really cute, but I’m enjoying wearing my growing Pandora collection more right now.

    • Leann

Yes, I noticed how popular they are in the New England! I was out there last year and that’s how I stumbled upon this brand. They’re definitely a different look :).

does anyone know where they sell them in australia?

    • Leann

Hi Liz, it looks like Alex and Ani is not sold in Australia yet, and the main website doesn’t ship internationally. However, Argento (an authorized store in the UK) can post to Australia for free: http://www.argento.co.uk/PostageInformation.aspx. Hope that helps!
