It’s been 4 months since news broke of the UK inspired charms, and soon after Pandora released stock photos for these three charms – red, white, and blue swirls (Union Jack colors), the double decker bus, and the 2012 Olympic medal. The first rumors said that these would be available by March, but Pandora indicated a July release date. Some ladies were able to get the RWB swirls (dubbed the All-American for the US market) Murano back in April from Perlen, and the Murano and double decker bus were also available for early sale on select Virgin flights to the UK.
Well, these were released in the UK on May 1st and finally for available for sale on Perlen June 1st (quite a trickling release). I’m quite surprised but they’re not sold out yet! I was quite apprehensive about being able to procure a set, thinking that I might have to stay up all night so I could catch these babies when they went up for sale on the website. But the lovely gals at Perlen uploaded the charms right after midnight Danish time so I was able to snag all three and after only 7 days (!) I’ve received my Best of British collection!
I am *really* loving the Olympic medal. I thought that it might be too big, but it’s perfect. It has real substance and character; I can’t stop starring at it! I honestly have no idea how this bracelet is so filled already. I got the camera and suitcase from Perlen a while back, and the airplane from Mexico. The cricket bat is from Australia and the Canada bead I got a couple weeks ago. I thought the red and blue swirls would go well with the All-American Murano. I wanted to add the poppy,and all the destination charms. I hope I have enough room!
I also ordered the UK dangle from Perlin on the first but have not gotten it yet. I had not seen the other side of it and I love it. My name is actually latin for Laurel wreath which is what the olympians were awarded when they won in ancient times and so is what is one the dangle around the 2012. I am even more excited to get it in the mail now! I hope it comes tomorrow!

Hi I bought the r/w/b murano and the Olympic medal from Perlen. Should be coming this week sometime. Do you know when the London bus will be coming to the US. I think it will be about the same price as Perlen is selling it – 45. Thanks!

I just received my Best of Britain order and it looks fabulous! I paired my All-American muranos with the Red Bubbles and Blue Bubbles. All set for the Fourth of July!

i was yesterday in my pandora shop to get some of the animal beads… sooo pretty.. and i had a hard time making a choice.. so while chatting with the sales person she told me that next month Pandora is going to have a special “free neclace” with a purchase, in August she said there will be a Eiffel Tower charm and in September “free bracelet” wiht purchase.
i can not wait to take advantage of those sales – i juuust started with my collection
