Today marks the 60th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation as the British Monarch. Our cousins across the pond are marking this amazing event with 4 days full of activities. The festivities are kicking off with The Big Jubilee Lunch on Saturday, The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant on Sunday, BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace and The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons on Monday, and a host of events in Central London on Tuesday. For an in-depth itinerary, check out the official website for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Pandora is marking these momentous events in London (including the Olympics) this year with 3 unique UK inspired charms – the red, white, blue swirls Murano, double-decker bus, and the 2012 Olympic medal. I just ordered my set and can’t wait to get them!
The crown is also a perfect representation to celebrate this event – previously available in yellow gold, and then white gold (only in Australia). We’ve been speculating for months that Pandora might be releasing a silver version for the Queen’s Jubilee, but alas, it won’t be released until October with the fall/winter collection. I also thought that they would put CZs in the silver version, but it looks like it’s just all silver; my thought is that it might be confused with the white gold crown if it also had crystals in it. I guess we’ll just have to wait a little while longer!

Hi, I too was hoping for a silver crown with CZs, so instead I bought the Queen Bee to remind me of this occasion.
I think the crown is very nice but its not for me. I instead bought from Perlen the Union Jack medal dangle charm to celebrate the Olympics! I really like it that it has the date on the other side. So cute! I can’t wait till it comes in.
