News broke late yesterday here that Pandora has released a limited edition purple zebra animal print Murano in the Australian market. Early information reported that these were only going to be available in Concept Stores in the country, with each store only allowed a small batch around 12 beads each. However, it looks like some store-in-stores will also be carrying these and they are selling out fast as the news is getting out!
While Pandora left out these special limited edition beads in their promotion of the new Tame the Wild collection, Anita from Pandora did interject on the main FB page that these beads were not going to be Australia country exclusives. She writes,
The purple zebra murano is limited edition to the UK, Australia and what we at PANDORA refer to as CWE – Central Western Europe.
Best, Anita
Unfortunately, the US will not be getting this special bead and it also seems like UK retailers know nothing about this limited edition, so for now, Australia is the only country to have these beauties. In fact, many European retailers, including Perlen, and stores in the UK have yet to receive the original zebra print. I love my black zebra print Murano and it’s definitely got some purple tints in it, but nowhere near as purple as these beads! I’ve asked my Australian friend to help me out and I’m crossing my fingers that she’s able to get me one.
And in other Tame the Wild collection news, it is rumored that Pandora is recalling the clouded leopard print Muranos from some markets due to an inconsistency in the coloring of the spots for these beads. This is because while the stock photos show brown spots for this print, some of these beads have yellow spots. I’ve handled them in person and all the ones I saw at my Concept store were indeed brown spotted, however, I actually purchased mine from Perlen and received apparently one of the rarer yellow-spotted clouded leopard prints! I didn’t even realize that this was a variation and considered returning it. Now, I think I might go and get an additional clouded leopard print, this time with brown spots
.

Want! Can anyone help me get one? I’m in the US.
Could you see the clouded leopards becoming valuable in the future? For something as rare as this what price do you beleive they will sell for in the near future?
It’s hard to tell, it would have to depend a lot on how long these are produced and how widely distributed these Muranos are. The most I’ve seen Muranos go for are the amber/white and blue/lime spotties which have fetched over $250 on the after market. If you have the patience and the money, you could do some charms speculation
.
Oh so pretty. Let’s keep our fingers cross that Perlen will come through with these muranos like it has with the destination charms. I still can’t commit to them though.
Hi ladies I live in aus and just picked up two of these charms at my local store
they are gorgeous!
