Today is Memorial Day, a day which we reflect upon all the sacrifices that the men and women of this company give to ensure our freedom. It also marks the beginning of summer! I always enjoy a 3-day weekend, even then it still feels like not enough time off. My husband and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Canada; being in Seattle, we’re only a couple hours away from British Columbia. I decided to check out the physical store for charmjunction.ca in Langley, B.C., and it is a very cute location. The store sells mostly furniture and accessories, and one corner of the store holds Pandora, the other has Thomas Sabo.
They actually had a tray of retired beads, but unfortunately they were mostly the gold beads :/. Plus, it’s not really worth it to shop in Canada when the US dollar is so weak; being that the prices for Canada are about 20% higher on average than for the same items in the US, it really makes no sense to go shopping in Canada. I did manage to find (the last?) Canadian maple leaf bead! It was the last one in the store, and I also checked online and they’re temporary out of stock. So I’m very happy about that find. The bead was released before the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, and I thought it would be perfect for my travel bracelet. The thing I’m most worried about with the white enamel is the tendency they have to yellow with UV exposure, I guess I’ll have to guard it carefully! I put it with my other travel charms: I got the plane in Mexico, the suitcase and camera from Perlen in Denmark, and the cricket bat from Australia. I’m planning on adding the monument/destination charms and the UK ones as well. I hope it’ll look good!

Great find!! #jealous
Charm Junction is showing they have more of the Canadian charm in stock – but the price has now doubled!
I’m looking for a maple leaf pandora charm. Please email at the above email address. Thank you Lisa
I just found the maple leaf in stock, but the store is charging $259. Anyone know what the original retail was? Thanks!
It was $99CAD. That’s quite the markup!
