I’m usually not a fan of animal print but I’m quite excited by the new animal print Murano, especially after seeing the live shots, and I thought these would be perfect for an animal themed bracelet. I was able to get my hands on a couple of retired animal charms – the rhino, the hippo, and the elusive mouse recently. I was very happy to get the little mousey! He’s surprisingly cute, with his tail engraved on the back of the charm but he’s tiny. I’d been eyeing these fellows for a while and wasn’t sure what to do with them when I finally got them, but then I remembered the animal prints coming out and knew I had to do an African Safari bracelet!
I’m planning on pairing these animals with a brown theme – I really like the giraffe print and I think the python is growing on me. I’m also going to add a couple of the wood Muranos because it would just be perfect for this bracelet; I’m leaning towards the darker ones. In addition to the rhino, hippo, and mouse, I already had the snake and giraffe, and just recently got the elephant. I’m planning on adding some fowls to the bunch as well (chicken, duck, and swan). I know I really should get the lion’s head, but the yellow CZ eyes just creep me out! Plus, all the animals I’ve got so far are “full-bodied”, and the lion is just a head. I’m not a huge fan of Pandora’s animal head collection (pig, bear, horse, and lion). I would love a full-bodied pig since that’s my animal zodiac.
Unexpectedly, I’ve collected quite a few of the animal charms! The cow was my first animal charm, she’s a joke between my husband and I . I’ve also got the horse, Mr. and Mrs. Penguin on my teal bracelet and of the retired animals, I have the dinosaur and the ram. The ram represents my mom because that’s her zodiac animal so I had to get the monkey because that’s my dad’s zodiac. Of course, I also have the frog for my frog prince. Do you have animals on your bracelet?
